SA:rego stickers to be abolished for heavy vehicles

Postby busdriver » Sun Sep 24, 2017 2:36 pm

From the 1st of November in SA heavy vehicles will no be issued or required to display a registration label, vehicle registered under the Federal Interstate Registration Scheme will still be required to display a registration label.

All other states and territories will be doing the same by July 2018.

It's a good way to revenue raise, people forget when their rego's due, then the state is ready to pounce on them.

They have even raise the rego fee, so I guess removing labels didn't earn enough for them.

Yeah especially when the state government sometimes forgets to renewal the rego on their own vehicles, :? although government plated vehicles in SA have never had rego labels issued to them.
