SA:rego stickers to be abolished for heavy vehicles

From the 1st of November in SA heavy vehicles will no be issued or required to display a registration label, vehicle registered under the Federal Interstate Registration Scheme will still be required to display a registration label.

All other states and territories will be doing the same by July 2018.

It's a good way to revenue raise, people forget when their rego's due, then the state is ready to pounce on them.

They have even raise the rego fee, so I guess removing labels didn't earn enough for them.

Yeah especially when the state government sometimes forgets to renewal the rego on their own vehicles, although government plated vehicles in SA have never had rego labels issued to them.
