I saw this sign go up in the last few weeks. Obviously unenforceable but just an alert to what some companies are going to try to assert they have a right to do.

Re: Towing company bluster
Why is it that, when people commit to the expense of commissioning a professionally made sign, they don't bother to have someone with a reasonable command of English proof read the text? This one is cringe-worthy on myriad levels...
At least they got the possessive apostrophe correct. So there's that.
I almost want to text the number on the sign to ask if it is just a bluff or are they willing to commit theft. In all seriousness, surely these companies are aware of the laws that govern their bread-and-butter work? Or are people just so stupid that they do not acquaint themselves with the basic laws pertaining to their core business activity?

Re: Towing company bluster
A quick google search and checking reviews reveals this is one of the new cowboy companies that IS towing vehicles, likely illegally from private parking spots in melbourne. Looks like quite a few bungles including towing someone's own vehicle from their own parking spot.
Will be interesting to see if this behaviour is ever addressed.
Seems that they are. Hard to believe that they haven't been pinged for it.
