How long for infringement notices to arrive

Postby kbreen » Sat Mar 28, 2020 7:25 am

Does it generally just take about 2 weeks nowadays before a notice for a camera fine is mailed?

Our last one (last year) took six weeks. They have up to 12 months.

Is it likely to be any slower than usual atm because of the situation with workplaces?

I think infringements issued by cameras are automated, aren't they? If that's the case, then perhaps any delay will be small if there is any delay at all.

The camera sends the data to Traffic Camera Office immediately, so they should be able to text and email you an infringement notice within about 45 seconds. Just don't read your texts as you're driving along at high speed though.
