We all know that when you come to a Stop sign you Stop, You have the sign as well as the thick white line on the road,
So tell me if the sign is missing or there is no sign, but there is a thick white line, are you required to stop?

Yes. They are effectively the same thing. See rule 67.

But no one ever stops for either - and the police almost never enforce stop signs - so there is nothing to worry about!!
Happy holidays to you all!

If you ever go Narooma in Southern NSW, which where I holiday most years. Always stop at this stop sign, the local police love booking drivers who fail to stop at that sign.
Happy holidays to everyone.
