? So that info that comes with summons (acts & rules) informing me what I can request/what the informant must do isn't worth the paper...?

Going out, I had heard of them being in area but when your are stuck behind a 4x4 doing 60 in a 80 & you know corners are coming, you overtake when your legally allowed too i.e. broken lines, yes? Maybe I do need his acct details salesman ( not too serious)

I don't get it... If someone is having trouble obtaining a full brief, can't they just turn up to the first mention/conference or whatever and ask where their copy of the full brief that was requested is at? or ask if it has been refused under section 45? Can't you just adjourn the matter until you have had time to receive and review the full brief?

I got sick of asking informants for more info and being told to get stuffed. Now i just take advantage of their failure to provide the info they were supposed to serve in the brief, rather than ask them to fix it.

You should either plead guilty as is, or contest the charge and see what else comes up as the case unfolds, or spend a load of money winning the case with a lawyer.

I'll ask this question to Hardy under the section of Courts & Lawyers as it's of topic.

if a prelim brief is prepared, a full brief is not required to be produced until after a plea of not guilty

Officer sitting down operating pl3 is only holding it as apposed to it being mounted on tripod, effect on accuracy?

If the laser passes over an obstruction, then the signal is lost and the reading and timing starts all over again, so this is in a speeders favour, because it means they take longer to get a reading.

The same again with holding as opposed to tripod mounted. It won't affect accuracy. If they are shaking it too much, then they won't get a reading as it will keep cutting out as it loses the return signal.

So you are going to raise the possibility that the police are lying when they claim they got a laser speed reading from your vehicle. That means you are going to cross examine them by telling them they are committing perjury. Good luck with that!!

You are entitled to get a copy of all of the evidence that will be used against you at court and the best time to ask for anything you don't already have is at the case conference.

They won't get a reading.

What you haven't considered is that they are looking down the road in the direction of vehicles coming towards or going away from them. They won't be tracking over things like the bits of fabric, as they would have made larger holes as in the pics on page one which would allow them to do this without breaking the signal.Otherwise they would be wasting their time. Just because you have a pic showing that the camera is looking through bits of fabric, doesn't mean that the laser is in the same spot.
