Problem is many motorists think it is an offence for a cyclist to ride on the road.

"Problem is many motorists think it is an offence for a cyclist to ride on the road."

Only the road hogs Hardy, you know the ones that won't let cars pass them safely, all because it's their God given right to ride 2 or 3 abreast, and hog the whole road.

Even slow moving tractors or trucks pull over a bit if they are holding up traffic, not these Lycra clowns.

I think the majority of motorists think it should be, so are just waiting for the wheels of government to catch up so to speak

One of three lanes on Heidelberg Rd Fairfield has been handed over to cyclists, instead of just one meter in the gutter. That might infuriate a few motorists as they watch riders fly by during the morning traffic jam.

You'd hope the more progressive would see that as a trigger to take up cycling to work and use that lane.
