License disqualification in VIC

Postby etaketak » Thu Jan 09, 2020 8:21 am

Hello,
I have received email notification from a VIC sergeant that oral fluid test results from 2/12/19 detected MDMA in my system (following faint line detected at a RDT). An infringement notice and copy of the Toxicology report is being posted to me today. My licence will be disqualified in Victoria for 6 months from 5/2/2020.
I live and work in QLD. I am wondering how this infringement affects my QLD license and if it is also disqualified how I should go about contesting the disqualification of this. I believe I have a good defence to do so.
Thank you in advance.

It is likely a disqualification in Victoria will rub you out in Qld.

To defend this allegation you need to take the case to court.
See http://trafficlaw.com.au/fines.html#object

I reckon there is a good defence to this charge.
