Hi,
I am about to face the first court appearance for an alleged speeding fine.
The summons paper says I'm suppose to let the court know at least three days before, whether
I'm pleading guilty or not & let the court know details of any witnesses. I am pleading not guilty.
However, I'm not sure about the witnesses at this stage. Witness may come, may not.
Can I tell the court on first court appearance day that I am unsure about witness stand?
What happens if I say that and go to court with the witness on the second hearing date?
Will I be able to use the witness on the second date, if the court doesn't know whether the witness
will be there or not?
Thank you for any assistance.
